Operation DASH

The Denmark dash is taking shape, we travel on 5th. August to Dover arrive in Dunkerque and stay overnight in a hotel. We will then travel through Belgium, Netherlands and onto Germany we will probably stay overnight in Germany for language practice then on to Aarhus for Thursday. We will leave Aarhus Sunday to travel back for the 11th for the 16.01 Ferry to Dover and back to Newcastle hopefully we will keep people well informed.

Denmark Dash

Well it looks like it is on. Leave on the 5th. drive to Dover either get the ferry and stay in France or stay the night in Ashford and then travel Wednesday to Germany stay overnight and then drive up to Aarhus. I think staying in France the first night is more intriguing than Ashford though. We can then stay in Aarhus for a couple of days then make the return trip with furniture etc. We should be back in the UK by Tuesday ready for work on the 13th. Sounds like fun!

Trying to work out the best way to go to get to Denmark. I think the cheapest is Dover to Dunkirk and then up through Germany to Denmark. Lots of driving though but should be fun if we take our time.

Summer is here

Hey its the Summer!


Well according to the calendar anyway, it is the start of the school hols though Eldest has gone to Denmark care of the Rotary Club in Denmark she looks set to have a fantastic time taking in a music festival where the tickets have sold out. Youngest is off school, we are looking to find the best way to get to Denmark by car at the moment looks like drive to Dover, cross to Dunkerque then drive through Germany maybe stay in Cologne or Koln so she can practice her German then up to Aarhus.

I fell off ladders from the new extension the other week healing slowly, my right arm has been really hurting but today is the first time I have woken up with no pain so maybe the arm is on the mend who knows.
